Credentialed Eating Disorder Clinician & Senior Dietitian

Yasmina Diab (she/her) is an Accredited Practising Dietitian with 18 years’ experience in public health nutrition, community health and private practice.

Yasmina takes a non-judgemental and holistic approach to client care and aims to empower individuals and their families to establish and nurture a positive relationship with food. Yasmina provides a safe, respectful, and validating environment for clients and works in partnership to achieve negotiated outcomes.

Yasmina specialises in the management of women’s health conditions and has a passion for the prevention and treatment of eating disorders.

Areas of speciality include:

  • Eating disorders and disordered eating in children, adolescents, and adults.

  • Management of PCOS, endometriosis, perimenopause

  • Menopause

  • Fertility support

  • Antenatal nutrition support

  • Weight management with a focus on behaviour modification

As a Credentialed Eating Disorder Dietitian, Yasmina provides evidence-informed care.

Yasmina will work in collaboration with you (and your family) to screen for a potential eating disorder. For clients with disordered eating behaviours and weight and body concerns, Yasmina provides psychoeducation, skills, tools and support to build positive relationships with food and foster body acceptance.

Yasmina provides treatment for children, adolescents and adults living with an eating disorder. She takes Eating Disorder Care Plans developed by GPs which provide 20 Medicare rebated consultations over a 12-month period.

Yasmina has a strong knowledge of Family Based Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Eating Disorders and actively complements these modalities through her treatment approach.

Yasmina’s other areas of interest

Yasmina has a passion for public health nutrition and enjoys working for the Department for Education where she develops nutrition policies and procedures, in addition to supporting food and nutrition curriculum development for the primary years. Yasmina also consults to the Butterfly Foundation and is a guest lecturer in academia. Yasmina is the co-founder of Elevare Nutrition Group.

A mother of three lively children, Yasmina understands the demands of juggling parenthood with work and life….and all its ups and downs. She regularly practices Pilates and meditation and is an advocate for self-care strategies that support mental wellbeing.

Referrals

Written referrals are not required for consultations however Yasmina does triage all new patients. If you do not have a referral please complete the section below and our lovely admin team will contact you.

Eating Disorder Plans & Chronic Disease Management Plans are accepted and there is a cost associated with these plans.

Initial consultations are 60 minutes

Standard review consultation are 30 minutes

Long review consultations are 60 minutes

(Payment is required in full at the end of consultation)

Long review consultations (60 minutes) $200

If you have an EPD or CDM plan, Medicare will rebate $60.35

If you have private health, please contact them directly for the amount covered.

Face to face and telehealth consultations are available.

Eating Disorder Management

Yasmina is an Eating Disorder Credentialed Dietitian and works in collaboration with clients and their families in a compassionate manner. For individuals with disordered eating behaviours, Yasmina provides psychoeducation, skills, tools and support to build a healthy relationship with food and body acceptance.

Yasmina provides treatment for children, adolescents and adults living with a diagnosable eating disorder. She accepts Eating Disorder Care Plans.

Yasmina provides treatment for:

  • Anorexia Nervosa

  • Bulimia Nervosa

  • Binge Eating Disorder

  • Other Specified Feeding and Eating Disorders

Yasmina has a strong knowledge and training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy for Eating Disorders, Family Based Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.

Yasmina provides a safe, respectful and validating environment for individuals and their families and works in a true partnership to achieve negotiated outcomes.
